Managed Endpoints

Proactive monitoring. Preventive maintenance. Reliable technology.

Your computers should work for you, not the other way around

When a workstation slows down or an application stops responding, people lose time and you pay for problems that often could have been avoided. At Neatoware, we believe the best IT problem is the one that doesn’t happen.

Using professional remote monitoring and management tools, we monitor your systems at all hours, perform preventive maintenance, deploy software updates and address emerging problems, often before anyone in your organization notices. Alerts can come in at any hour. Our technicians respond within your plan’s response targets.

Managed Endpoints keeps your computers running well, and Endpoint Detection and Response looks for attackers.

We keep watch on your computers so you don’t have to

Instead of waiting for something to break, we install a lightweight management agent on each covered computer, giving our technicians one view of your systems so they can spot developing problems and automate maintenance. Servers get the same agent, with server care covered on Managed Servers.

What Managed Endpoints includes

Health monitoring

A computer rarely fails without warning. Low disk space, failing services, and repeated errors often show up long before it stops working. We monitor covered computers for these signs, so a technician can fix the cause before it disrupts work.

Patch management

Outdated software is a common source of security holes and everyday problems. Keeping hundreds or thousands of computers updated manually is impractical, and leaving updates to each employee creates inconsistency and risk.

We centrally manage operating system patches and supported application updates on a consistent schedule. Routine workstations can update automatically, while specialized computers follow a more careful process.

Preventive maintenance and consistent standards

Regular maintenance prevents many routine problems. If a monitored service stops, an automated fix may be able to restart it. If it can’t, an alert brings it to a technician.

We set practices by group, so each kind of computer gets the care it needs.

Remote troubleshooting

Our team can connect to the affected computer, by arrangement, and fix many problems without a site visit. Many problems can be fixed remotely. When one needs hands-on work, our technicians provide on-site service. See Help Desk.

Hardware and software inventory

You can’t manage equipment you can’t account for. We keep a central inventory of covered computers, including hardware and operating system versions. It shows computers nearing end of support, so you can plan replacements before they fail. For budgeting, see IT Planning.

Endpoint management is part of good cybersecurity

A well-maintained computer isn’t necessarily a secure computer, but good cybersecurity begins with disciplined administration. Unpatched systems and unmanaged devices give attackers openings, and endpoint management helps close them.

Managed Endpoints works alongside our broader cybersecurity services. On Gold and Platinum plans, that includes endpoint threat protection and security monitoring, with alerts reviewed by a security operations center staffed by analysts 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Neatoware’s own follow-up and support follow your plan’s response targets, and targets are not guarantees.

These services serve different but complementary purposes. Endpoint management keeps your computers healthy and working. Security tools and security operations center analysts find, investigate, and respond to potentially malicious activity. See Endpoint Detection and Response, SOC Alert Review, and Cybersecurity.

Built for organizations where downtime matters

Neatoware has extensive experience supporting government agencies, law enforcement, public safety and other organizations whose technology must stay dependable.

There, an unavailable computer can delay information that staff and the public rely on. Keeping these systems running takes deliberate maintenance planning, change control, and careful coordination, not just installing updates and restarting computers.

Our endpoint management practices can be tailored to those requirements, helping your organization keep its systems reliable and support its own security, accountability, and compliance obligations.

The same discipline serves businesses and nonprofits.

Why it’s worth it

  • Fewer surprises, less downtime. Problems are often caught before they interrupt work.
  • Better security hygiene. Consistent patching helps close the openings neglected software leaves.
  • More time for your people. Staff can focus on their jobs.
  • Professional oversight at scale. Whether your organization has a handful of computers or hundreds of endpoints across multiple facilities, Neatoware provides a consistent framework for managing them.

Which plans include this

Managed Endpoints is included on Gold and Platinum plans. Silver plans manage servers and backups, and Bronze covers break/fix support with nothing managed. Response times are targets, not guarantees. See Plans.

Common questions

Are our computers backed up?

Workstation backup is part of Backup and Disaster Recovery.

Technology that works. People who can focus.

Your employees were hired to serve customers, protect communities, and carry out your mission, not to troubleshoot computers or chase updates. Within your plan, that work is ours.

You concentrate on your mission. We’ll take care of the computers.
