Managed Servers
Mission-critical infrastructure. Proactive management. Dependable performance.
Your servers are the backbone of your operations. We keep them running.
Managed Servers gives your physical and virtual servers professional administration, proactive monitoring, and preventive maintenance, whether they sit in your building or in a private cloud we run for you.
Server management is more than keeping the lights on
A server can look fine while a storage array loses redundancy or a backup job quietly stops completing. We look past whether a server is online to whether it will stay reliable.
What Managed Servers includes
Health and hardware monitoring
We monitor covered servers for memory and processor use, storage capacity, essential services, and system errors, plus disk health where the hardware supports it. Alerts flag problems early.
Operating system and software maintenance
We manage updates with procedures that fit each server’s role. Routine maintenance runs in scheduled windows, while critical systems, such as those supporting public safety, may need extra planning or coordination with application vendors first.
Performance
We look into slowdowns and tell you when new hardware makes sense.
Storage and hardware
We oversee supported server storage, including hardware RAID and software-defined storage. Depending on the platform, we can spot degraded arrays or pools and coordinate replacement of failed parts. Storage availability, redundancy and data protection are related but distinct responsibilities.
Virtualization
Neatoware has experience administering virtualized server environments, including open-source virtualization platforms and software-defined storage. We manage hosts, virtual machines and virtual networking, and work to keep one failed component from disrupting several systems.
Files, permissions, and sign-in
File sharing with permissions by department and role, and one staff sign-in across computers and file shares.
Backup monitoring and recovery readiness
Neatoware helps clients implement and oversee server backup and recovery arrangements, including local and off-site protection where included in their service agreements. Off-site backup copies go to immutable storage, and recovery testing follows the terms of each client’s agreement. The details are on Backup and Disaster Recovery.
Redundancy keeps systems running through certain failures. Backups make recovery possible when redundancy isn’t enough. A sound infrastructure strategy needs both.
Remote administration
We use secure remote tools to fix many problems without a site visit. Where physical intervention is required, our technicians provide on-site service and coordinate component replacement and vendor support. See Help Desk.
Configuration, documentation, and lifecycle
We document each server’s role, hardware and dependencies, and plan upgrades with you. See IT Planning.
Private cloud and high availability
With private cloud, servers we set up, patch, and watch run in a data center, so you skip the server room. For the systems you rely on most, we offer high-availability setups.
Server reliability and cybersecurity go hand in hand
Our cybersecurity services add security event monitoring (SIEM): on Silver plans for your managed servers, and on Gold and Platinum plans for your managed servers and workstations, together with managed endpoint detection and response (EDR). On every plan that includes SIEM, a security operations center staffed by analysts 24 hours a day, 365 days a year reviews SIEM activity and flags and escalates anything suspicious. Neatoware’s own follow-up and support follow your plan’s response targets, and targets are not guarantees. See Endpoint Detection and Response and SIEM.
Server management is not a substitute for comprehensive cybersecurity, and cybersecurity is not a substitute for disciplined server administration. A resilient IT environment needs both.
Built for environments where failure has consequences
Our experience includes government, law enforcement and public-safety environments where infrastructure availability directly affects people’s ability to do essential work.
Critical systems can’t always restart at convenient times. Maintenance decisions must account for interdependent applications, the regulatory requirements that apply to your organization, and the consequences of service interruption. A server supporting a sheriff’s office or other public-safety operation demands a level of care that recognizes the importance of the mission it serves.
The same discipline serves businesses and nonprofits.
Why it’s worth it
- Greater reliability. Problems are often caught before they become outages.
- Less disruption. Planned maintenance keeps interruptions low.
- More predictable costs. Lifecycle planning means fewer equipment surprises.
Which plans include this
Managed servers are included on Silver, Gold, and Platinum plans. Bronze covers break/fix support with nothing managed. Silver aims to respond within two business days, and Gold within one business day. Platinum aims to respond to Priority 1 incidents within four elapsed hours, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and to Priority 2 to 4 within one business day, during business hours. Response times are targets, not guarantees. See Plans.
Common questions
Can our servers stay in our building?
Yes. We manage servers on your premises or in a private cloud in a data center, whichever fits you.
Will updates break things?
Sometimes, yes. Occasionally an update causes problems. Before major changes we take a snapshot where we can, so if something breaks we can usually roll it back and get you running again.

Your infrastructure shouldn’t be a source of uncertainty
We believe server management should be deliberate, proactive, and accountable.
We cannot promise that hardware will never fail or that outages will never occur. What we can provide is professional stewardship designed to reduce avoidable failures, improve visibility, and strengthen your ability to recover when something goes wrong.
Your servers carry the workload. We take care of managing them.
Tell us what you run today. A real person will get back to you.
